STI provided Coastal Marine with an internet protocol (IP) system, including a 32 channel H.265 4K network video recorder (NVR), coupled with a 32 port power over ethernet (POE) switch. These products allow data to run independently of the company’s everyday bandwidth by leveraging the power source for data transfer, using 2,250 feet of CAT 6 cable. This configuration supports 18 cameras, providing 4K footage and AI analytics around the clock.
Six traditional IR, turret style, 5-megapixel cameras provide broad views of the office, employee lounge, and the covered and interior work areas. Three 8-megapixel bullet cameras were added with 165’ of dragon fire infrared, which is the best IR technology currently available. This generation of smart IR capability eliminates ghosting and tunneling, and results in brightness being more evenly dispersed for optimum image quality. These cameras are equipped with 2.8mm – 12mm motorized, autofocus lenses for tight views, and provide AI analytics. The AI feature allows management at Coastal Marine to set custom parameters for which after-hours activity warrants an email and text alert. This setup is used in key areas such as the entrance gate and rear docks. Lastly, ten 24/7 color cameras are capturing color footage, even in night vision mode, by throwing 65’ of light from LEDs on each camera, allowing Coastal Marine to light up and monitor the perimeter of the building and all exterior yacht storage areas.
