Abbey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center has been providing short and long term care to patients and residents in Pinellas County for over 45 years. Another longtime local, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) upgraded their access control and surveillance solutions to include fifteen fixed turret-style 4K cameras with traditional IR technology and a 16 channel 4K DVR with H.265 compression. This equipment provides high quality footage of all activities at the property’s entrances, exits, medical stations, and common areas. A video entry system was installed at the main entrance, which allows staff to see and speak with potential visitors and grant them access, without leaving their posts. A 7” color screen monitor provides audio/visual communication and a door release feature at two nurses’ stations.
