Presbyterian Homes & Housing Foundation of Florida specializes in helping seniors find affordable rental housing in west central Florida. Their latest location, Arlington Arbor in St. Petersburg, FL, gives low-income seniors access to breathtaking views, in a park-like setting just blocks from downtown. A variety of amenities ensure a property of this size still feels like home, and home should feel safe and secure. That’s where Surveillance Technology Inc. comes in. STI was asked to provide state-of-the art security solutions to this project and delivered an impressive show of 85 cameras and over 8,000 feet of cable connecting everything that happens at Arlington Arbor for a complete St. Pete security system.
With 15 floors of activity, there is a lot to take in at a property of this size. It warranted a collection of multiple Ultra HD Hybrid DVR’s along with 5 megapixel cameras offing laser night vision and motorized autofocus lenses. Every floor boasts 5 cameras, including detailed hallway and close-up elevator views. Residents can relax knowing that the property is monitored around the clock in all areas, from the dog walk to the bike storage. From the time they enter the lobby, residents and their guests enjoy the safety of ongoing surveillance throughout Arlington Arbor, including the common areas, clubhouse, and parking lot.
While this much equipment may seem overwhelming, Surveillance Technology understands the importance of strategic placement and discreet residential installation. Conduit was used to protect all cabling in the open-air hallways; and overall cable effort was reduced by running cable only to the nearest recorder, then linking the individual recorders back to the network infrastructure. Their care and attention to this project resulted in a formidable security system that complements the Arlington Arbor atmosphere.
