In order to truly feel like home, The Hampton at Clearwater provides countless amenities to its residents and their pets. The 55 and older community provided by the Clearwater Housing Authority offers a myriad of activities and services, including a woodshop, sewing room and billiards. In fact, members of this community have many of their needs met on site, including a salon, health care center, and the Sapphire Sky restaurant serving international cuisine, which is included in rent. Tenants live and play at The Hampton, and their safety is of utmost importance. To balance this type of secure, welcoming environment, The Clearwater Housing Authority partnered with Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) to replace their existing analog surveillance system with more modern capabilities.
The Hampton is now equipped with a DVR security system including two 16 Channel H.265 4K hybrid DVRs. The use of a hybrid DVR accommodates the community’s older cameras, without the need to upgrade all components of the existing system. STI prides itself on integrating functioning components of an existing system, when those components can add value to the client, thus stretching their budget. More importantly, a hybrid system allows STI to seamlessly introduce the latest technology, such as five newly installed 4K cameras with motorized, autofocus lenses. These cameras have added surveillance to many of the amenities enjoyed by The Hampton residents, such as key areas in the restaurant, library, and game rooms. With 30 cameras in all, The Hampton’s amplified surveillance system captures hours of flawless security footage, so residents can capture hours of breathtaking Tampa Bay sunsets, enjoy a cup o’ joe at a coffee social, or catch the weekly movie.
