Barrow Power is “on the move” in more ways than one. With a qualified team and formidable fleet of trucks, Barrow provides reliable utility services throughout central Florida. They are moving to a newly built facility, which will not be ready for a few years. The company has moved temporarily into a property consisting of a courtyard and a few buildings on several acres of land. While they need a surveillance system now, they also need the equipment to be portable, for ease of transferring it to their next location. Through a consultative approach to strategic design, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) was able to propose a solution to meet Barrow’s current and future needs.
The property’s central building now houses seven 24/7 color cameras, which capture color footage even in night vision mode. A 16 channel H.265 4K DVR stores footage from all of these cameras, which provide broad views of the parked fleet and all sides of the structures and storage areas.
Two additional cameras have been placed inside the warehouse, along with three 4K varifocal cameras featuring 180′ of IR to provide tighter shots of the remaining buildings around the campus. A camera with 5mm – 60mm motorized, autofocus lens also provides a tight view of the main office building. Given the multi-structure nature of the property, STI installed a wireless router and Ubiquity Wifi bridge in one particular building to provide DVR and internet connectivity where it was most needed.
Barrow Power and Surveillance Technology have a lot in common. Safety is front of mind in all aspects of their work. Both companies support a wide variety of clients with a myriad of cost-effective, dependable services; and both companies list innovative thinking among their core values. It is easy to see why Barrow Power would want Surveillance Technology along for the ride into their endeavors.
