This footage is transmitted to an 8 Channel High Definition DVR housed in a ventilated 24” x 24” x 12” commercial-grade steel environmental enclosure. Because enclosures of this caliber often degrade the quality of wireless signals, STI has deployed an external Omni-directional Wi-Fi transmitter, which allows wireless access to the camera management software within 300 feet of the unit. This eliminates the need to install a broad band cable modem to access the cameras monitoring software as would normally be required for this type of installation.
