Surveillance Technology Incorporated is proud to announce the completion of their latest St. Pete surveillance system project with M&P Plating. This project presented a challenging layout and installation for Surveillance Technology Incorporated due to the extreme chemical vapor environment at the business location, and dealing with the remnants of an incomplete previous competitor installation.
M&P Plating is a metal plating provider that utilizes harsh chemicals on a day-to-day basis in its production process. These chemicals and vapors can negatively affect camera lenses and housing plastics over time. Surveillance Technology Incorporated outfitted the property with the proper conduit and junction boxes to cover all cabling and used powder coated aluminum cameras to protect them from corrosion.
In addition to corrosion, Surveillance Technology Incorporated faced an added challenge in correcting deficiencies left from a prior surveillance install that remained incomplete. The prior installer had installed six new 1080p HD cameras with 2.8mm fixed lenses. Surveillance Technology was able to incorporate these existing cameras into M&P Plating’s upgraded surveillance system. Two new bullet style cameras with 180 feet of smart infrared, and two turret style cameras with 90ft of smart infrared, were added to complement the new 16 channel HD Digital Video Recorder (DVR). All internal production facilities, the Pinellas Trail behind the facility, and all points of entry are now monitored and secure.
