Homeowners at The Cove at Rocky Point undertook a formidable vetting process when planning to upgrade their surveillance systems. Following rigorous due diligence, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) of Tampa, FL was selected from five proposals. What set STI apart was their knowledge and their understanding of The Cove’s needs. Although they did not bid the lowest price, Surveillance Technology’s tailored solution and expertise were far superior to the competition.
STI installed surveillance cameras at both the north and south entrances. Each entrance has a camera pole with 5 cameras and an environmental enclosure housing the 4K H.265 DVR’s. Broad views of the gates and surrounding areas are provided by 4K bullet cameras, which capture color footage even in night vision mode. Each pole provides views of the inbound and outbound lanes, the sidewalk, and the outside entrance. In addition, each has an inbound license plate camera capturing the tags of all vehicles entering the property.
Residents also chose to upgrade the surveillance system at the pool and cabana. Two cameras were installed for broad views of the pool. Additional cameras with varifocal lenses offer tight views on the entry gates and broad views of the kitchen and covered sitting area. All of these cameras are connected to a unified platform, along with an 8 channel 4K DVR with H.265 compression. The footage can be monitored from anywhere, giving authorized users the ability to monitor the safety and security of the community at all times.
