Surveillance Technology installed video surveillance systems for business in Tampa at the newest Goodwill Warehouse distribution center in Tampa Bay area. Goodwill has been a cornerstone in the community by providing life changing assistance programs and job opportunities to 10 counties in West Central Florida. The new Goodwill Warehouse and distribution center opened for business as of February 2018. The property features a 200,000 square foot warehouse with an adjacent 25,000 square foot retail space. It was of the utmost importance that the warehouse be equipped with a top of the line surveillance system prior to opening. Surveillance Technology Incorporated was honored to design and install an extensive surveillance system to protect their employees, property, and products.
For this project, Surveillance Technology Incorporated was able to transition two 16 channel Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and 32 cameras from the previous Goodwill location to the new facility on US HWY 301. In addition to the relocated surveillance equipment, three new 16 channel high definition, high resolution DVRs were installed. Due to the massive footprint of the property, 49 bullet style cameras featuring 180 ft infrared and motorized auto focus lenses were added and strategically placed to cover the perimeter, all points of entry, and interior storage spaces. The motorized auto focus lenses on these bullet style cameras make a substantial difference in the clarity of the image regardless of distance. In total the massive project required 30,000 linear feet of new cable and 81 cameras to cover the interior and exterior of the warehouse.
