Surveillance Technology Incorporated outfitted San Remo Condominiums with two systems. Tampa surveillance cameras in the main building, operating on a 16-channel DVR, were situated to cover the elevator, covered lobbies, the parking and storage areas to the north and south, as well as the breezeway connecting the pool to the lobby to cover potential slip and fall liability. The cameras added in these areas are designed to prevent unwanted guests and reduce liability, but also to keep track of vandalism within the less occupied areas of the condos.
Additionally, the pool area received its very own 8-channel system. Since the pool is a popular spot for guests and unwelcomed visitors alike, installing the system would prove to reduce liability and keep track of authorized users. The HD cameras covered the jacuzzi and entrances to the pool to reduce liability issues, but were also placed to cover the gas grills and pool equipment to ensure that only authorized individuals could access the equipment. As a positive measure, Surveillance Technology Incorporated installed the DVR and cameras power supply in a ventilated steel environmental enclosure and the HD cameras themselves are IP66 weather rated to help withstand the beaches challenging environment, which adds to the longevity of the installed systems.
