Outfitting the latest surveillance camera systems in Treasure Island has been the bread and butter for Surveillance Technology Incorporated, and now they boast the latest addition to their repertoire, a surveillance overhaul for one of the Bay Area’s most well-known bridges.
For the Treasure Island Bridge, surveillance is essential to promote the safety of the many Bay Area commuters. Tampa surveillance cameras were installed in order to monitor traffic for congestion, allowing the bridge to move only when the congestion is clear. Likewise, the cameras are capable of surveilling the waterways to make sure no incoming boats are damaged with the bridge is lowered. Surveillance Technology Incorporated accomplished this task by implementing a high definition network video recorder, more specifically a high input Digital Watchdog brand recorder, to allow for optimal surveillance. Two 3.2-megapixel cameras featuring wide dynamic range capture technology were stationed to provide a clear view of the waterways. These cameras compensate for any glare reflecting into the camera during the days and utilize night vision to capture footage at night. Additionally, five 5-megapixel cameras were installed on the top of the bridge to monitor vehicle traffic flo. These Arecont cameras are coated and weatherproof to guarantee excellent performance for years to come. With this latest installation, the Treasure Island Bridge will continue to operate safely for all its commuters, both by land and sea.
