In December of 2015, Surveillance Technology Incorporated had the distinct privilege of installing a new exterior video security system in Dunedin at the Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, home of the Spring Training grounds for the Toronto Blue Jays. An earlier completion of a Phase 1 project resulted in the installation of multiple 2.4 megapixel cameras connected to two 16 channel high-definition DVR’s which covered walkways, entrances, parking areas, media entrances, and locker room entrances. During this previous installation, Surveillance Technology Incorporated utilized over 6,5000 feet of cabling to install 20 HD Tampa surveillance cameras in these critical areas. With the successful installation of Phase 1, Surveillance Technology Incorporated was tasked with the second phase of stadium security upgrades to augment the stadium’s surveillance capabilities even further.
Phase 2 was completed to meet security upgrades required by Major League Baseball. Five long-range HD cameras were installed to cover all metal detectors, entrances, and exits. These increased security measures allow the stadium to enact more preventative measures and deter potential unwarranted activity and would-be criminal activity. Surveillance Technology Incorporated targeted these exterior locations to capture tight views and discern interactions between the stadium’s guests and staff. Two additional long-range 50mm lenses were installed to cover vehicle entry and exit gates. For added measure, a broad view camera was installed in the areas behind home plate. Both installation phases combined have provided the Blue Jays a robust surveillance system with maximum coverage. With Phase 2 complete, fans will be able to enjoy Toronto Blue Jays games at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in a safe and secure environment.
