Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) has formed an enduring relationship with the owners of Carlton Arms apartments throughout the state of Florida. Over the span of that relationship, the state of Florida has enacted House Bill 837, which outlines detailed requirements property owners must meet to prove they have not been negligent regarding public safety. As with many other Carlton properties, Carlton Arms at Magnolia has been equipped with a Lift Master system with the myQ community platform to manage their access to amenities across their many properties. In the main Clubhouse, STI added access control to both laundry room doors, the business center, bathroom, and hallway. In a second clubhouse, they have community access control on the main entrance door, two back doors, and two laundry doors.
For surveillance services in the main clubhouse, STI used a 16 channel H.265 4K NVR with cameras covering all common areas, including the leasing office, business center, and laundry room. Two ColorMax cameras with varifocal lenses provide clear images of the pool in color around the clock, even in night vision mode. The second clubhouse houses a similar 16 channel NVR with a collection of cameras in the yoga room, gym, laundry, and hallway. Again, a pair of 24/7 ColorMax cameras with varifocal lenses provide tight views of the pool.
At the guard house, an 8 channel H.265 4K NVR records broad views of vehicles coming in and out. License plate readers capture the tags of everyone entering or existing the property, creating a searchable flat file for later reference. Varifocal cameras have audio capabilities, capturing all guard and visitor interactions at the guard house. And STI ensured there is sufficient storage to preserve footage for greater than 30 days.
In the maintenance building, an additional 8 channel NVR is paired with another ColorMax camera, which monitors the perimeter to protect community assets and all points of entry. Three turret style 4K cameras inside the maintenance building cover the points of entry and assets in storage. There are also cameras trained on the building where golf carts are stored along with three varifocal ColorMax cameras providing tight views of the tennis courts, basketball courts and playground located across the parking lot from the building where the equipment is installed.
This latest project was completed in four phases. Surveillance Technology has enjoyed each phase of their work with this client, and hopes to help secure additional properties in the future.
