Kuhn Volkswagen has been in business in Tampa, FL since 1965. Their recent partnership with Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) is a natural extension of the company’s commitment to do right by their customers and provide meticulous service. STI was able to update the dealership’s outdated surveillance solution with a modern, comprehensive IP camera system for their business.
In the first round of improvements, eleven cameras were replaced with 4K IP turret style cameras with traditional IR, for improved resolution. These cameras cover the customer services areas of the finance and service departments. The placement of cameras in the service lanes is particularly important, as these images can later prove conditions at drop off, such as documenting if a vehicle was already scratched or dented upon arrival at the dealership. The cameras installed in the showroom and service shops have the capacity to capture color footage 24/7, even in night vision mode.
Kuhn’s second phase of enhancements included four turret style 4K cameras in the maintenance building, along with a 32 channel H.265 4K NVR. This NVR takes full advantage of the higher quality footage provided by the new 4K cameras, yet still accommodates the older, lower resolution cameras retained from the existing equipment. Effectively integrating the new and old systems results in cost savings for the client without sacrificing resolution where they need it most. This budget-conscious approach to finding the right solution for each client is what sets Surveillance Technology apart from the competition.
Kuhn Volkswagen’s teams are salaried, so they can keep their client’s best interests in mind. They aim to make the car buying process easy and help clients maximize their budget to find the right car and financing for them. This is similar to STI’s transparent and innovative approach to working with each client, ensuring every surveillance and access control solution meets each client’s unique needs and makes the most of their investment.
