Lake Carlton Arms in Lutz is the largest property Surveillance Tech (STI) has worked on for Florida-based Mahaffey Company. But the real focus on this project wasn’t the 500 acres of wooded property, 200 acres of lakes, or miles of nature trails. This phase of work focused on the most precious residents, and their on-site Hillsborough County Schools bus stop.
A flashing yellow light marks a covered pavilion, where STI installed an environmental enclosure for an 8 channel H.265 4K DVR. A T-Mobile 5G access point accommodates the lack of cable in the vicinity. Two 24/7 color CCTV cameras cover the bus and drive-up lanes leading to the pavilion. These were placed in a strategic criss-cross pattern, to ensure clear views of the waiting kids, passing vehicular traffic, and pedestrians on the sidewalk. Two additional 4K Resolution 24/7 turrets were strategically installed to view the surrounding area where the students approach, adding another layer of safety. A final turret camera with motorized varifocal lens and 24/7 color technology was installed to provide tight views of the primary intersection and stop sign. All footage is recorded for future use and is viewable in real time by property managers on a single platform.
STI has equipped countless schools to maximize student safety; but surveillance systems can provide an extra layer of protection for students all day long, from pick up, throughout the day on campus, and arriving home at the end of the day.
