Lightning Bay Pneu-Draulics has been meeting Tampa Bay’s marine and industrial maintenance needs for twenty years. They test, install, and re-manufacture hydraulic cylinders, gearboxes, valves, and winches, offering on-site fabrication and 24/7 hydraulic and pneumatic field service capabilities. The outdated surveillance system at the Tampa location operated with a hybrid of CCTV, coupled with some newer IP cameras; and Lightning Bay was not satisfied with the prior vendor. Local provider Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) was engaged to upgrade the property to modern, 4K technology.
STI installed a 32 channel NVR to support 19 new IP cameras. The crown jewel of the system is the ColorMax Ultra camera. These cameras come equipped with full AI capabilities, in addition to offering color footage in night vision mode. With AI features deployed, a ColorMax Ultra can detect human intruders and emit flashing red and blue lights as a deterrent to trespassers. It can also be programmed to notify property owners of the intrusion in real time. Three such cameras were installed to cover the front parking area and entrance gate, with another two in the rear. Four ColorMax Ultra cameras were used to cover the front bays, exterior point of entry and parking lot, while another provides broad views of the far side of the property.
Surveillance Technology carries a broad range of surveillance equipment, strategically deployed to meet your needs. In the case of Lightning Bay, not all cameras required the flashing lights, for example. Three ColorMax cameras with varifocal lenses offer tight views of the storage area, while two others provide broad views for parking and along the perimeter. These cameras are still equipped with AI capabilities for detection and notification, but without the added lighting.
On the interior, six 4K bullet style cameras monitor production areas in the warehouse, while
one in the main lobby provides a tight view of the door. The result is comprehensive coverage of the entire Lightning Bay property, inside and out.
