At the Pineview Apartments in Clearwater, FL, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) installed two independent systems to solve the unique needs presented by the Clearwater Housing Authority. At the main entrance of the complex, STI placed one camera for broad views of the entrance gate and call box, along with a license plate recognition camera to record incoming vehicles. These cameras are mounted on an 18’ high, 5” square commercial grade camera pole. The accompanying 4-channel H.265 4K DVR is also located outside, in a custom built 24” x 24” x 12” steel environmental enclosure. An additional environmental enclosure was installed on an exterior wall of the building, housing a 4K H.265 DVR connected to an 8 megapixel camera with a 2.7mm – 13mm motorized, autofocus lens for tight shots on the trash area to monitor and deter illegal dumping.
Although both systems are connected to the main office internet connection via a 5ghz wireless bridge, each has its own DVR still recording independently. This mitigates the risk that an unstable wireless signal could cause loss of footage no longer being recorded. STI has partnered with Clearwater Housing Development, Inc. before, optimizing systems to meet each property’s unique needs. In fact, their team of sales and technical professionals regularly consult with residential communities throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond, to provide cost effective access control and video surveillance system solutions to satisfy or exceed each client’s expectations.
