Sanwa Food Group has used Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) for their surveillance solutions time and again. The latest project in their longtime partnership was an upgrade to their newest distribution center, located in the Sanford State Farmers Market. This historic property just north of Orlando is being restored in a joint effort with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
STI installed two 16 channel IP Network Video Recorders (NVR) similar to those found at Sanwa’s other properties. They leveraged 16 existing IP cameras throughout the warehouse interior and covering the exterior dock. 16 new turret style 4K IP cameras were added in critical locations, such as the freezer, dry storage, and docks. The surveillance needs of STI’s food service clients can be unique, as the cameras must maintain reliable performance in harsh environments, including freezers.
This project required 2,700’ of CAT 6 ethernet cable and 300’ of conduit to protect the cables running from the NVR to each camera. Though some clients may consider running their own conduit to save money, Sanwa has seen the value of Surveillance Technology’s expertise firsthand and once again relied on STI to efficiently handle this task.
This strategic location allows Sanwa to supply “farm to fresh” produce and a diverse selection of ethnic foods and flavors to clients in Central Florida and the east coast. Because Surveillance Technology has equipped multiple locations for them, Sanwa staff can view a live feed from all of these properties from one digital platform.
