H. & S. Swanson’ Tool Company – Security Surveillance System Pinellas Park

Pinellas Park, FL September 2017–Surveillance Technology Incorporated is proud to announce the completion of a state-of-the-art security surveillance system in Pinellas Park at H. & S. Swansons’ Tool Company. H. & S. Swanson are specialists in the engineering and production of metal components that depend on precision and superior quality control.

Originally founded in Chicago in 1953, H. & S. Swansons’ Tool Company moved a portion of their substantial operation to Florida in 1978. By 1983, the entire company had relocated to their facility in the Tampa Bay area. Services they offer include: Project Management, Precision Machining, Finishing & Assembly, and Quality Control. Their home base in Pinellas Park, a 70,000 sq-ft building of manufacturing and office space, was due for an upgraded surveillance solution and Surveillance Technology Incorporated was proud to take on the project.

To begin this project, the previous analog surveillance system at H. & S. Swansons’ Tool Company had to be replaced. Surveillance Technology Incorporated outfitted their new surveillance system with a Hybrid HD 4.0 DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and 16 new cameras. 12 TB of storage was installed in the DVR. Of the 16 new cameras that were installed, 12 were 2.4 megapixel HD cameras with smart infrared and four additional external 4 megapixel HD cameras. The additional cameras provide a broad view of the exterior of the property. The new DVR is capable of handling up to 8.0 megapixel HD cameras, allowing H. & S. Swansons’ Tool Company the ability to upgrade to next generation cameras in the future.
