12 years ago, Sunstate Academy partnered with Surveillance Technology, Inc (STI) to provide surveillance services at their Clearwater location, where they train the next generation of cosmetology professionals. In July, 2020, STI upgraded Sunstate’s surveillance equipment, bringing their 26 analog cameras current with 4K technology, and installed two 16-channel H.265 4K DVRs. They also added to the existing audio microphones on site, giving the academy 7 key instructional areas where instructors can hear what transpires for quality control. As a nonprofit institution, Sunstate Academy provides services to the public at affordable prices, through Salon Solaris. Members of the community can enjoy beauty and wellness services by well-trained students using professional products. Up and coming cosmetologists are encouraged to reinvent themselves. In much the same way, Surveillance Technology encouraged Sunstate Academy to reinvent its surveillance capabilities by embracing the latest and best technology. Their newly augmented system provides a safeguard critical to Sunstate’s successful strategy of letting students explore their creative talents in class and while immersing clients in a true salon and spa experience!
