Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) is honored to now be the official surveillance provider of The Vinoy. This independently owned Renaissance resort offers a luxury vacation amid the rich history of St. Peterburg, FL. As part of an overall revitalization of the property, owners of the Vinoy were looking to repair, remove or replace each piece of their existing surveillance equipment in St. Petersburg.
In the first phase of this work, STI partnered with The Vinoy to prioritize their needs. To mitigate unauthorized access to the golf carts and 4-wheel vehicles, four large 24/7 color cameras were installed. Each of these cameras generates 150’ of light via 6 LEDs, and captures broad views in color, even in night vision mode. Two similar cameras which emit only 65’ of light were installed in a fenced courtyard, along with an additional turret camera in a nearby walkway. Footage from these cameras is captured on a new 8 channel H.265 4K DVR.
The Vinoy is bringing their vision for renewal to life with uniquely luxurious, authentic Italian touches. As the revival continues, the resort’s needs and surveillance focus will evolve from their golf course to their charming rooms, sophisticated suites, and glamorous ballrooms. The property is richly appointed with additional amenities, including pools, tennis courts, and a private marina. Surveillance Technology is eager to continue their relationship with The Vinoy, collaborating to develop the ideal solutions for the property’s long-term needs.
