In Dade City, you’ll find an expansive recreational community known as Travelers Rest RV Resort & Golf Course. Travelers Rest offers amenities to entertain those who like to play hard, and those who prefer a more relaxing way to pass the time. In addition to RV living and storage, the property is home to a variety of activity halls, a hobby house, and a woodshop. There are a variety of 60’ tall antennas scattered throughout the park at strategic points. The owners wanted to make use of these structures and contacted Tampa-based Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) to install a NVR camera system that would suit their property.
At the main entrance, STI added an 8 channel H.265 4K NVR to support three UltraMax color cameras, which now offer coverage in 270 degrees, including the office parking area, driveway entry and exit, additionally a license plate recognition camera was installed to capture tags of all vehicles leaving the property. These cameras retain color while in night vision mode, providing high quality footage 24/7. A similar 8 channel NVR was installed in a new enclosure on a nearby tower, also aimed in three directions with UltraMax color coverage. The parking area received its own enclosure with 8 channel NVR and four more UltraMax color bullets, which offer broad views of parked RVs. All locations are equipped with cable modems, so all available imagery can be viewed from one location.
While each 3-camera configuration does not provide a full 360-degree view, the strategic placement of these clusters ensures that no one can enter or exit the property without passing through camera coverage. As residents are arriving home to their RV, popping over to the on-site post office and library, or leaving the property to explore Dade City, they can rest easy knowing Surveillance Tech has provided the protection they need across the entire park.
