In conjunction with a recent access control system upgrade, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) recently updated the surveillance system at Travesta. This community sits between Tampa and Sarasota in the heart of Manatee County
with 980 residences, including single family homes and multi-family townhomes. Trevesta cultivates a strong sense of community with an active social calendar throughout the year. Although some homes are outside the gated areas, these residents still have access to common amenities and are welcome to enjoy festivities throughout the community. The large population warrants a robust surveillance solution that keeps everyone safe, while maintaining the friendly and inclusive environment Travesta is known for.
STI replaced cameras at the main and second entrances with new 4K IP cameras. These provide broad views with 24/7 color for clarity around the clock. The existing tag readers were upgraded to a more sophisticated 4K license plate reader for crystal clear images day and night. A third entrance is covered by cameras capturing broad shots of inbound and outbound traffic. Another 24/7 color license plate camera there records vehicle data and images from the inside and outside, to ensure comprehensive coverage and data gathering.
Travesta is loaded with recreational amenities. Unlike a business that may not expect activity after hours, residential communities are often busy day and night. As a result, HOA clients need to find the best nighttime security camera for capturing images in the dark. STI strategically placed IP cameras capable of recording color footage in night vision mode throughout the leisure areas. They can be found inside both the clubhouse & gym buildings. The breezeway between them leads to the pool, which is now covered by 4K Ultra ColorMax high quality video surveillance along with the playground, splash pad, and covered lanai. These cameras provide a full array of active deterrents which are activated to warn off residents and unwanted visitors after hours. Broad views are provided by cameras in the parking lot, along with the trash and mail areas. License plates are also captured by readers in the parking area.
Surveillance Tech is often asked by prospective clients about how to store security camera footage on the cloud. In fact, STI uses video recorders instead of cloud storage. The 4K resolution generated by STI’s best equipment creates a staggering amount of data every second! To remain reasonably sized for cloud storage, footage would either lose resolution or be kept for very little time. To ensure your highest quality footage is available when you need it, Surveillance Tech will connect your IP cameras to an NVR, or CCTV cameras to a DVR, and never puts your primary storage offsite.
