camera package to add safety to their value proposition. STI implemented a surveillance package
centered around a 16 channel H.265 4K DVR with a 16 terabyte hard drive, which gives management
ample days of footage retention.
Thirteen turret style 4K cameras with autofocus and motorized zoom now cover every aisle of
washing machines & dryers, the bathroom hallways, and all entry points from the interior. As a
best practice, STI locates cash register cameras directly overhead, so the camera cannot be beat
by the cashier’s body. Off-center placements allow individuals to block the camera’s view of the
register, which is mitigated by STI’s overhead approach.
Surveillance Technology also installed three exterior cameras with 24/7 color technology to
capture 4K footage in color, even in night vision mode. These cameras provide their own LED
light source, illuminating the front and rear exterior of the property, as well as the sidewalk and
parking lot.
