Whispering Oaks has been serving Tampa Bay residents for over fifty years, helping some patients transition from hospital to home, while offering long term care to others in a home-like environment. Whispering Oaks further bolstered its security measures by integrating community surveillance cameras, enhancing safety not only for its residents but also for the surrounding Tampa neighborhood. Although Surveillance Technology Inc (STI) has numerous clients in this industry, they remain attuned to the unique needs of each client. Whispering Oaks, for example, allows visitation 24/7 and offers short term respite care on site.
To offer around the clock surveillance, STI installed ten 4K bullet cameras to monitor activity around the perimeter of the property. This includes 24/7 color coverage of the front entrance, parking area, entry gates, and supply areas. They installed two commercial-grade camera poles, each measuring 17’ tall and 5” square, along with trenching, conduit, and a 4K DVR to complete the package.
This client expressed a desire to capture particularly detailed images entering and exiting the kitchen, which STI achieved with a 24/7 color turret. This is an increasingly common request, with the rising cost of food. Scrutiny of kitchen operations is an effective way to reduce loss.
