The Panda Kitchen and Bath Expo Center was started with a dream of making kitchen remodels affordable. The business has grown to include manufacturing in Thailand and Vietnam, a million sq ft of warehousing, and clients across the U.S., Caribbean, and South America. Tampa Bay area clients can procure their PKB cabinetry and accessories at Panda Kitchen & Bath of Tampa, where Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) recently replaced the outdated IP surveillance system that covered most of the property.
To improve tracking of inventory and operations, a 4K ColorMax camera was installed on each side of the outgoing bay, zoomed in closely on each pallet being loaded. These cameras are so powerful, details on the shipping label are legible in the recorded images. Outside, a dozen more ColorMax bullets cover the entire perimeter with 4K resolution and full AI capabilities. These cameras emit light and capture color footage in night vision mode. They can detect human intruders, within parameters set by management, and will flash red and blue lights as a deterrent to trespassers. Property owners can program notification preferences for such events.
On the interior, sixteen 5 megapixel bullets cover all product aisles in the warehouse. Eleven 5 megapixel turrets with traditional IR focus on customer interaction areas, office space, and the showroom. Four cameras were added in areas where cabinets are assembled and two trained on merchandise. A final ColorMax turret with varifocal lenses provides tight views of the main entrance.
To capture the footage from this vast array of cameras, STI installed three 16 channel H.265 4K NVRs and another with 8 channels. These NVRs have been mindfully placed in strategic locations to reduce cabling requirements. However extensive your surveillance needs might be, Surveillance Technology can meet them. A project like this requires an expansive menu of best in class equipment, and the experience to design everything you want without anything you don’t need.
