Some clients enjoy working with Surveillance Tech (STI) so much, we get to see them again and again! Sanwa Growers recently completed an update to their massive produce storage warehouse in Sanford, FL, which closely resembled solutions implemented at their other locations secured by STI.
Sanwa started farming Asian produce in Florida in 1981 and has grown as quickly as their vegetables. The company’s distribution center in the Sanford State Farmers Market offers delivery across the state and is also open to the public. Fresh produce is difficult to maintain while meeting the frequent needs of customers, who often visit several times per week. Between the shipping operations and the traffic from the indoor market, there is a lot to monitor.
This client has prioritized surveillance as a means to ensure the safety of their employees and to mitigate risk on their properties. To achieve comprehensive coverage, Surveillance Tech installed six 16-channel NVRs with 4K resolution to accommodate high quality footage from an impressive array of sixty state-of-the-art cameras to enhance their warehouse security camera system. Sanwa now has active surveillance on every inch of the warehouse, including the docks, storage, freezers, and walkways, in addition to the exterior.
Surveillance is most valuable when it can be monitored in real time. Surveillance Tech can design a system that offers real time viewing of live feeds and automated notifications from cameras equipped with full AI capabilities. Sanwa’s system in Sanford, for example, is enabled with an AI feature to alert property owners if any vehicles or humans enter designated parts of the property after hours. The parameters of these notifications can be customized to your specific property and schedule.
Prospective clients may be wondering what to look for when buying a security camera system for business. The answer to this depends on your goals. STI will assess your primary reason for wanting to introduce surveillance at your property. Do you want to decrease theft, improve production, or protect your business from liability concerns? Overt surveillance protects our clients from theft and false liability claims, as those intending harm are deterred by the knowledge that you can record their behavior. High quality images are critical to the success of defending your business against false liability claims.
Property owners and managers frequently search online for details on how to store security camera footage on the cloud. In reality, this isn’t typically the best solution to a business’s needs. It’s critical to have ample storage to retain your footage past the future date when it may be needed to respond to an investigation of criminal activity or a lawsuit for liability claims. Cloud storage has space constraints that will often lead to a degradation in quality or storage having timed out and you no longer having access to key footage. Sanwa’s six recorders, on the other hand, have enough storage for 4K footage from sixty cameras and the confidence that they will still have the footage on hand if needed at a future date. Surveillance Tech clients appreciate the ease with which they can extract and save the footage for future use.
