The association at Shore Mariner Condominiums was referred to Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) by another satisfied surveillance client. Surveillance Tech proposed a broad scope for the overall project; but in order to meet the client’s budget and needs, they recommended execution of the plan in 3 phases.
You may be wondering, “How many security cameras do I need?” To answer this popular question, Shore Mariner leaders asked STI to review their entire property and propose a surveillance package to include the residences, pool, lobby, and breezeways. STI often encourages completion in phases, to prioritize immediate coverage of critical needs while maximizing long term potential protection. The Shore Mariner community, for example, has budgeted to increase the percentage of completion every quarter until the end vision is achieved. The intentional pacing of implementation can facilitate an ultimate design that wouldn’t be feasible in a single purchase. Surveillance Tech will help you define your big picture goals with patience and foresight, then break them down into a phased approach to accommodate your budget.
The Shore Mariner community is located on a horseshoe-shaped waterfront property on the west coast of Pinellas County. Every residential unit faces the water, providing unparalleled panoramic views of the gulf. In their second phase of installations, STI equipped the main lobby, community room, and the front breezeway areas with cameras connected to a 16 channel H.265 4K DVR. They replaced four critical cameras in the mail area, community room, and kitchen. The new IR fixed turret-style cameras provide broad views of these common areas in 4K quality. A single 24/7 color turret was added to capture 4K footage of the shared entrance to multiple gathering spaces, placed where they can also monitor delivered packages left outside the mail room. This portion of their surveillance solution also oversees the covered drive & exterior breezeway.
This 55+ community is known for its green spaces, sunset patio views, and a pool mere feet from the white sand beach. Other phases of work will include these exterior common areas, as Surveillance Tech brings Shore Mariner’s broader surveillance vision into focus. Residential community leaders throughout Tampa Bay and across the state should consider bringing Surveillance Technology in for consultative insight while planning future security investments. Proactive and mindful planning empowers associations and board members to create better solutions than those who only react in times of emergent needs. When security is always on the agenda, STI can help it always stay in reach.
