Until recently, the Highland Park community used a popular surveillance system. Like many new STI customers, this client decided to leave their provider due to recurring monthly fees charged for system management, which Highland Park was only using to monitor the pool area. Community leaders determined this was something they could monitor on their own.
STI put in an IP system with a 16 channel H.265 4K NVR, along with eight ColorMax Ultra cameras. These IP cameras offer 4K resolution and are considered the best nighttime security camera, capturing color images, even in the dark. They are equipped with the full array of AI deterrent features, as well as two-way audio. These cameras capture both points of entry to the pool area, including the back deck of the clubhouse and the exterior gate to the pool. If anyone enters this area after hours, blue and red lights begin to flash, and an audio message plays to inform the visitors that the pool is closed and they need to exit the area. The audio can be customized for a specific use case, or admins can choose from an available set of common pre-recorded messaging. Should this sort of intrusion occur, the system will simultaneously notify board members that someone has entered the area after hours. Upon receiving this notification on their personal device, they can log in to view the situation in real time and even interact with the trespasser via 2-way audio.
There are five new 4K cameras monitoring activities inside the clubhouse and in the main common areas. STI installed one additional 24/7 color camera to record people entering and exiting the clubhouse at the front porch. As with the other ColorMax Ultras, property managers can make unique choices for each camera about real time notifications of intrusion. In this example, Board members want to be immediately alerted to someone in the pool area, but do not need awareness of every time a person passes through the front porch, where access is not restricted. The new system installed by Surveillance Tech puts the control back in the hands of community leaders. Not only are they avoiding monthly fees for monitoring, but they have the ability to curate the experience of both visitors and administrators.
