The Madison at Soho Condominium Association recently engaged Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) in a multi-faceted project to install a thoughtfully designed condo surveillance system for this South Tampa location. Aesthetics matter at Madison. Residents are drawn to the colorful palette of gold and terracotta homes, set off with the sparkling blue pool and bright green palm trees.
STI installed an H.265 4K NVR in the IT room and ran cable to surveillance cameras being installed. They chose to run this cable through wiring molding in the residential hallways. Wiring molding, sometimes referred to as cable molding, protects and organizes cable in an aesthetically pleasing way. This low profile approach is popular in residential and commercial settings where wiring would otherwise be visible. The molding maintains a clean and organized appearance by hiding unsightly cables. It protects wires from damage and improves safety by minimizing the risk of tangling, disconnection, or damage. Wiring molding can be made from various materials, including PVC, metal, or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Once the wires have cleared the hallway and entered the garage, STI transitioned them into conduit for more resiliency.
If you’re only asking yourself, “What features should I look for when buying a security camera system for business?”, you may be overlooking the important aspect of how that equipment is installed. If you value appearance, it’s important to engage an installer who cares about more than just the function of the equipment.
Many clients also rely on the experts at Surveillance Tech to determine where to place security cameras outside business or residential properties. STI will consult to understand not only your physical space and budget, but also how you plan to use the data later. At Madison, two IP cameras have been installed in the parking garage, which offer 24/7 color footage with broad views of the entrance gate, while another one shoots inward toward the garage interior to capture vehicles as they enter. These 8 megapixel cameras maintain 4K resolution. STI also installed a license plate reader on inbound vehicular traffic, which creates an indexable file as a database that later can be searched to identify previous entry and exit patterns of a given vehicle.
This condominium complex is one of two related properties, and STI is looking forward to continuing this partnership after the initial phase of work. Surveillance Tech takes pride in building long lasting relationships with clients to ensure their current and future surveillance and access control needs are anticipated and met, while their expectations are consistently exceeded over time.
