The Trevesta community in Palmetto, FL offers a seamless resident experience and relies on a cost-effective alternative to on-site guards. Finding their former provider’s customer service lacking, Trevesta sought out Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI) to install a cutting edge solution to manage resident and guest access. The cornerstone of this system is the Proptia community management system
At the new visitor kiosks at Travesta’s main and secondary entrances, visitors can call residents via directory. This traditional method of visitor management is familiar to users and allows for unexpected guests to contact and communicate easily with residents in an intuitive way. But when an arrival is anticipated, the sophistication of the Propia management system really shines. Residents can issue one-time or recurring digital ePasses for expected guests. The recipient can scan their QR code at the kiosk to gain entry within the pre-authorized period. These scanners are rated for direct sunlight at 100,000 lux, which is critical for properties in the sunshine state.
For an even more seamless experience upon arrival, a license plate reader has been integrated to allow vehicle tags to be used as credentials. Residents can enter their guest’s license plate into the system to authorize entry for a limited period of time selected by the resident – 1 day, 30 days, or 1 year. During this time, the vehicle with that tag # is validated for entry without any additional information to key or scan. Residents are notified by text when their guest arrives.
Residents can gain effortless access to the community in a variety of ways, including UHF readers for car stickers. The Proptia app can also be used with a Bluetooth connection. The entrance database is integrated with readers throughout the property, creating a unified access control platform. With Proptia equipment added to the clubhouse, gym, and pool, residents can move seamlessly between amenities using the same credentials. Residents can also text visitor ePasses for key fob door entry. This process is simple and intuitive, even for residents who don’t know how a door access control system works.
In addition to granting or restricting access, this system tracks anyone who enters or leaves the property. Comprehensive transaction data can be stored indefinitely as a searchable database, capable of generating detailed reports with security snapshots of vehicles and individuals using the kiosk. The license plate readers create a meticulous account of vehicle make, model, and color. Proptia software can then deliver comprehensive reports including muster, overstay, and time-on-site reports. Like many of STI’s surveillance and security solutions, these products integrate seamlessly with most existing systems, adding value to the infrastructure investments already in place.
A community with so many entry points requires a sophisticated system that feels hassle-free to the everyday user. Proptia is the system of choice for Travesta and best suited to their residents’ needs. Proptia maintains high standards for installers, selecting limited providers in each geography to uphold their strict protocols and expectations for excellence. Surveillance Tech is proud to have been selected as an exclusive Tampa Bay installer. For STI clients, this means your chosen providers partner well and have expertise in each other’s process & products.
