Friend’s Plumbing has been meeting the needs of the Clearwater community since 1979, with a distinct focus on client satisfaction. Not only were their surveillance cameras lacking in resolution, but they were tied to an alarm system for which they were being charged a recurring fee. Friend’s was paying monthly for the continued use of poor-quality cameras. They finally reached out to fellow Tampa Bay service provider, Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI).
One of the newest tools in STI’s arsenal is technology known as “24/7 color” cameras, which capture color footage even in night vision mode. These cameras offer 4K resolution and typically provide 60’ of light to illuminate the area. Three bullet style cameras were installed near the front parking and storage areas. STI also used one larger version of the camera with 6 LED lights, which shoot 150’ of light into their employee parking lot.
Four traditional infrared turret style 4K cameras offer broad views of the main warehouse and parts area, as well as the lobby. And one camera with a 2.7mm – 13mm motorized, autofocus lens provides tight views of the interior main entrance, zoomed in closely on the face of anyone who enters. Altogether, the new system offers surveillance on the entire perimeter of the property, as well as their indoor and outdoor assets.
